2010 KTM 450 (518cc upgraded) XC-W Six Days
This is my lightweight adventure-exploring dirtbike that is modular. It goes from everything from a regular dirtbike to rally mode in less than 10 minutes. It's the bike I spend the most time on and also the one I ride the most from multi day and desert to day rides out at Cherry Creek Utah. I have it to close to about within about 90-95% of where I want it to be for about 95% of what I ride. It's been a long process - it turned out to have major issues when I bought it so I refurbished over the winter of 2012-13 to be "better than brand new" including a complete sandblast of the frame, rebuilding the top end (twice now), and I've been tweaking it ever since. The idea is that I wanted it to be 'modular' - can literally do everything and adapt quickly as needed from dual sport to enduro and even woods and trees.
The specifics should be apparent in the photos but reach out or comment below any pictures with any questions. This replaced my older 2002 KTM 520 that was also an incredible great bike.
Basic specs are: all XC4 engine issues (08-11 KTM XC-W & EXC models) are sorted with oil pump and all other mods address; an incredible, powerful 518 kit from Thumper Racing including the updated 104mm piston; a 41mm carb tuned by DJHCyclesport (along with their head work); a custom street legal kit I wired myself wired from scratch using preferred parts off eBay; and then gobs of custom little performance mods. or other things I did.
It will ride crazy technical trails all day and then bring me home at 80+ on tarmac if needed. It is really incredible what it can do. I now have well over 2500-3500 miles on it estimated and with luck, it's just breaking in....
